Every day we are getting to know Biba a little bit more....here is what we know so far
Stats at her 1 month
Weight: 11.6 lbs (95+%)
Height: 21 3/4 (75%)
Head Circumference: 15 (90%)
1. She is wearing 3 months and up
2. She has some serious neck muscles (see previous post)
3. She is a super quick feeder
4. COLIC...? This little lady came into this world on her terms (certainly not mine) and she continues to show us who is boss. Her constant crying started right around week 1 (once our help had gone back to FL). She would basically always cry unless she was sleeping or feeding. And then a pattern developed where she would start crying uncontrollably around 6-7pm (right as we are putting McKinnon to bed) and would cry straight until 10ish. I have cut out dairy from my diet (hate this!) and it seems to be helping her fussiness during the day and shortening her crying spells at night....halleluia. It is so hard to hear your baby cry and not be able to comfort her.
5. Once she goes to sleep she only wakes once during the night (usually around 4-5 am) to nurse - a 6 to 7 hour stretch. Awesome! Sometimes she is tricky to get back to sleep but after walking back and forth across the room bouncing with the hair dryer on- we finally get the job done (which can take up to 45 minutes)
6. She is smiling at me!!
7. She can track with her eyes
8. She is covered in snotty/drooly kisses from her big brother by the end of the day
9. She wants to be in my arms, bouncing up and down (or the bjorn) all.the.time. She does not like the swing or bouncy seat.
10. She is so amazing and so very very loved and we both know that our minds will trick us and we will completely forget all this crying:)

I am proud our girl aced her first test, but sorry she has been so fussy since the old folks returned to Florida. We need to come back!
Oh Ray, I am so glad you included pictures of her room... hot air balloons..how cute, and now I know a theme...hmmm. Nissa did the crying every night thing for a while... I used to have her fall asleep on top of me on the couch...must have been the warmth. Won't last forever! Thanks for the update! I can't believe your Florida help isn't up there more often ;) Ing
