Coast Redwood Trees in the Santa Cruz Mountains

Father-of-the-Forest Redwood: estimated to be 2,000 yrs old with a circumference of almost 67 feet
Mother-of-the-Forest Tree: 329 ft tree that is the tallest in the Basin
If you look very closely you can see a "waterfall" or so they call it....we were tricked into walking a 2-3 hour difficult hike for this beauty - I would not advise this for someone starting their 8 month of pregnancy. Unfortunately our camera battery died but here is a link for some great photos of the Big Basin (check out the link below to see more Big Basin photos as well as their waterfall pictures to better understand my disappointment of the waterfall we saw)
