Scotland Trip

This past week Jon and I went to Scotland with 22 other Kellogg students/significant others. We started our trip out in Edinburgh where we visited the Edinburgh castle, had a literary pub crawl, shopped the royal mile and explored this magnificent city. Next we went to St. Andrews where we stayed in the “Cheapest Accommodations in the City” – needless to stay I am glad that we both have had our meningitis shots within the past 5 years. Here we played golf at the Old Course, explored the castle of St. Andrews and Cathedral, visited the university Prince William attended and enjoyed the Scottish cuisine haggis, neeps and tatties. Haggis, for those of you who do not know, is sheep lung, heart, liver prepared in the animal’s stomach. Finally we traveled to the High Lands where we hiked Ben Nevis, sang karaoke with the locals, and drank plenty of Scotch. Two of our favorite distilleries that we went to were Dalwhinnie and Tullibardine.

Amazing photographs!! - am obsessing over them. Love the bagpipes. The shot of Jonathan MacNasty is definately a Christmas card possibility.

Wow, it looks like you had a great time. Thanks for all the pictures we get to enjoy. But do us a favor, don't bother bringing any haggis for Christmas Eve! The scotch would be good though! Love, Auntie Ing.
